Mackaydon is pretty sharp in what he adds to this Forum, so XF-40 it is, based on that, it depends on the mintmark, No mintmark, $550, CC Mint $525, S Mint $260, & S/CC Mint $925. This is based on a Sept. 2015 issue of COINS Mag. Finding a Trade Dollar, another thing daydreams are made of.
 

Also check it with a magnet... this is one of the most faked coin that I have seen. I have a few

S Mint mark and I bought it for $176. I look at this coin as art for sure.

Truth, for what it's worth, there were 4,487,000 1875S Trade Dollars minted.
 

Weighing a Trade Dollar is the quickest way to if it's a fake. When minted they weighed 27.22 grams. Counterfeit/Fakes come in around 18 grams.
