Can you Down Under guys tell me about this coin please?

I found this Australian coin some time ago, don't even remember where exactly. I thought I had lost it on the way home but just found it in the bottom of one of my detector carry bags. If the pic isn't too good, it is a little larger than a USA quarter and has a bust of Queen Elizabeth II on the front with her name and Australia, 1974. On the back it looks like a platypuss in water and the numeral 20. Silver colored but I don't think it's silver as it isn't heavy for its size. Monty

Since Aussies seem in short supply today, maybe an Arkie will do.

It's an Australian 20¢ piece, and the metal is a copper-nickel alloy. Total mintage for 1974 was a little over 33.5 million. This particular design was in use from 1966 to 1984. In 1985 a new portrait of Elizabeth II was introduced; however, the coin's platypus reverse remained the same.
