I found it in sw Missouri about 10 miles north of Arkansas state line. I’ve found a couple pieces of novaculite up here. You gotta get down to the quachitas to find novaculite, but its within the realm of possibility that it was carried up north. It’s roughly 150 miles away. I found an obsidian point in NE Arkansas about 20 years ago so I assume if that can make it that Far East, anything is possible. Assuming it’s novaculite
 

If I found that here i would call it a damn nice Kisatchie SP. Definitely some nice wood material. Congrats!

It never occurred to me that it might be petrified or agatized wood. I stand corrected on my initial assessment of modern and now I wonder if it could be a rebased tip?!?!? It doesn't seem to be a cookie-cutter type.
