I picked up a silver or silver plate item at a yard sale and I have no idea about the mark on the bottom (which I hope is attached

It appears to be s crude style if Britannia, I would look at it coming from the UK

If you can't find the info there (alot to go through) try the forum there. I did this past year and got an ID on a silver spoon from someone there.

The closest I can find for the Britannia hallmark George 11 around 1748 .is there any letter within a shield besides the number 645 also can you say what the item is.

I would also look up Britannia metal could be e p n s or pewter
