Can anyone I.D. this "Community Club" piece?

This was about 6 inches deep in a park that dates to 1902. Roughly the size of half a quarter. I can't make out all of the writing. The only thing I can read is "Community Club" on the bottom right.

The middle image looks like a tent with two flags on top. On the right it looks like a genie lamp and i can't make out the "blob" on the left. Looks to be copper. There's more words on this, but I can't make it out. I'll soak it to see if I can free anything up. Anyone have any ideas on what this could be?

hi again. Thanks for all of the input! Definitely looks like a Chautauqua piece. I've now included a pic of the back. Not too much going on, looks blank to me, except for an area or two that may have been stuck to something else. I'm not sure if it is an elongated penny. Weight is 2.3 grams. Some wheat cents I've found range from 2.8 to 3.0 grams. I'm still trying to determine the other words...

Cool find :icon_thumleft:
As BigCy requested, more pics please. Could you also further describe the lettering that you can see.
My WAG is that it's a freebie given to kids/people in a town by a travelling circus, to help entice them along to the show.

Circus. No question the image in the center is a "big top" tent.

Definately a pressed penny. Give that thing a hot peroxide bath and alot of the crud should come off. Just do it little bits at a time to check the integrity of the surface of it.

Interesting! I've never heard of that...

If/when we have a look at the other side we may know more.

I would sure like to get one letter from that first word. It may be WOMANS, or it may be a city or state.

when i was young, for years, i lived at a place called O.S.C.A.
it stood for old salem chautauqua association-there they paid dues, had meatings, annual picnics. my mother was secretary of the board of directors, i never paid much attention...
It was by new salem state park... don't know what it really meant but it's starting to make more sense

This Chautauqua topic is so interesting to me. It is/was an amazing page of Americana. I had no idea how big it was in the early 20th c.

What is the name of the town where you found this item?
