Is this ivory

No parallel line pattern of celluloid

To answer the Ivory question...
At first glance... I would say no... It appears to be bone.
But...
I would like to see another close up pic of other areas... maybe even cross.
Bone is more "porous" than ivory... has "pits" and "rough" appearance.
Ivory is very smooth.
I see no crosshatching as well... SO FAR anyway.

That is one killer book.
I would imagine it holds some value.
