Can anyone give me any info on I & I J White out of Buffalo, NY (Tool Co)?
I found a broad axe head at the beginning of last year that I have finally been able to get a manufacturer's mark off of. It is a railroad tie axe found near where a narrow gauge logging line went through in the 1870's and 1880's.
It is marked I & I J White, Buffalo, NY. I tried Googling the name but only came up with ended auctions for various tools that has their mark. If anyone can give me dates of operation or any other info, I would appreciate it.
My wife is using the camera right now. When I get a chance I will add pics of the axe head and marking.
Thanks,
Doug
