Can a Excalibur 1000 use a Excalibur II Battery

Today I picked up an Excalibur 1000 with no charger. I just ordered one from Kellyco. The detector works fine it still had charge. I purchased it from a pawn shop in Vero Beach. They had two of them for sale. I would like to know if I can put an Excalibur II battery on my 1000 and if so do I need to make any type of modifications? Thanks.

Yes. The only difference is between the first gen Excaliburs and the 800/1000.

Yes you can.
I purchased a excal 1000 with a brand new excal II battery on it from my local dealer and it works just fine even charging if with the original charger.
I even went as far as taking the insides out of the new battery and installing them into the old blue one just for color match. Anal I know but if you got the skills apply em'!

My new battery just arrived today for excal 1000. Ordered from kelly co . Also does the shop still have other detector ? And did you get a good price on yours . Can I get the shop name. Thanks.
