I went to calumet park beach today in chicago, been a few other times with my bounty hunter and didnt do so well. Anyway today I get there and theres three mdrs in the water on a serious mission. The men were serious about finding some treasure, I hope they did well. Myself I am back at step one just learning the ace 350 my son was nice enough to buy me, and here I thought I knew what I was doing. lol The ace 350 compared to my $100 bounty hunter is an all new game and I got some work and learning to do. If anybody has any information or suggestions I would appreciate any info sent my way, and yes I am reading the manual repeatedly. As for the group of guys at the beach if you all get together often and dont mind a tagalong drop me a line, I did not introduce myself because I saw you guys had a mission and I hope you had much success. Heres wishing everybody a nice and happy Labor Day weekend. Take care and happy hunting!!

best advice i can give is use the factory coin mode, or jewelery mode, i also had a Bounty Hunter IV and then upgraded to the 350, the ace is more sensitive and if your in a trashy or highly mineralized soil area itll go nuts. If that happens lower the sensitivity a few notches to calm it down. Try not to get discouraged with it, i did but then took my time and its been paying off. Ive had it 2 months and found about 14 good keepers with it (Washington quarters, Rosies, Mercs, Indian heads, V nickels, ETC) good luck and HH

Set your DISC. just about foil and dig everything especially those low tones. I hope you find a lot of rings. By the way, save all those lead sinkers too. The price of lead is up and once you have a good amount you can sell it. Take care and let us know how you do.

Hang in there young blood and don't make things harder than it really is. All it takes is what? P-R-A-C-T-I-C-E.
The more you use it the more familiar you are operating with it. Do not waste any more time just get on with it.
Have a lot of fun junior and be safe out there.
