I found this today, my first thought was WW1 era, looking for confirmation.
The back, in very small writing is "Roden Bros. 1916", along the bottom. There appears to be marks where the clasps were, but are long gone.

Is this military issue?

Thanks for your help....BWD

It's a cap badge, there were similar ones of different size that were collar insignia too

when did the Canadians invade Florida?

when did the Canadians invade Florida?

Actually, my guess is there was a connection back in the day on this street...
The same are has produced some older Canadian coins too.

now that you mention it, I recall being at the beach and finding the place filled with Canadians ( why don't they go to their own beaches?)

It looks at least WWI to me, really cool find.

Thanks J.C...I am very happy to have found this.

Cool find Dave, it is a WWI Canadian hat badge. I bet that it get's a spot on this years Christmas tree.

Like IH said good condition.
Good find.
Also as IH said "different sizes"
I have a smaller one, not hat badge. Yours looks hatbadge size.
Does the back have two loop things on it ?

Back clasps are gone...I can see where they were.... I figured it was a pin.
