Dug a 1700s house today. Not saying this piece is that old though. I found the privy behind the house with a ton of broken glass and buried junk. I found this with leather still attached. Never saw a buckle like this or this size. Can anyone help with an ID or age on this? HH TNet !! It is brass I believe and I don't know the depth I dug it. It was rocky ground and I kept digging until my Deus showed it was out of the hole.

I wish that I could help but I can't, however I do LOVE that buckle. Never seen one like it. My guess is that it's some kind of harness buckle.

Thank you guys! I wish I could figure out a round about age on this sucker. I hate finding things I can't give a time frame too, it drives me insane haha.

No Designs.. Leather still stuck on somewhat but I have not cleaned it because of fear of it coming apart on me. I can't find ANY photos on google of ones this size or style. It literally is driving me so insane i keep refreshing this page every few minutes to see if anyone has ID'd it or aged it
