Looks like there have already been a few archeological digs starting in 1948.

Interesting archeologist were surprised by the large amounts of charcoal found in the area.

Remember When exploring in possible Spanish Landing sites, bring lots of your own fresh water, and never drink the water off the ground, especially anything resembling red dirt, near any possible mining site.
