half buried in soft sand
approx. 6ft long
1 ft wide
1 ft deep
at a guess I'd say 1000lbs weight?
water 10ft deep
water - salt - 84'

If you can get a boat with a Davit or lifting device it will beat lift bags and a big production every time. Even if you only get the artifact off the bottom a little bit with a couple of good bags you can then move it closer to where it can be managed easier. Lifting a thousand pounds to the surface is a nightmare at the best of times even with an experienced pro crew and great bags.

Don't forget you can always picnic overhead at sunset and the boat can then break down and return limping after dark with a heavier weight on it under tarps, no one will see the lift and this gives you daylight'ish to connect everything up. dont forget to use the same boat at other locations picnicking too though....hide in plain sight.

champagne all the way....

Surely you will have some Ron Matusalem Gran Reserva Rum and Coca Cola on board! Surely a big score deserves the best Rum in the World! I used to drink it quite often in Key West with my old friend Roy Ridgeway, sometimes after and sometimes before a good day of metal detecting, hee hee. Although it was hard to find a Distributor that would supply this far North, a friend here asked a local Liquor Store Owner to do his best to order some and he was finally able to get some shipped in. Now that they offer it, they can't keep it on their' shelves! Yes, it is that good! It's not cheap though but what would you expect, considering it is an award winning dark Rum.

Go buy a sewer pipe as more camouflage Steel is about 200 bucks a ton here so you could get a decent can....oops nearly said it, old fashioned looking sewer pipe length for about 100 bucks. You could even use it as designed during the camouflage party......

The "pillow bag" is really the way to go in shallow water as previously recommended. To be more specific I would suggest Subsalve's EFBs (enclosed flotation bags). Subsalve.com Talk to the owner and he will tell you exactly what you need. Good hunting!
