I need some opinions on this item . Not sure if it's a scabbard tip or just another useless piece of brass I have found . It is approx 3 inches long and split on one side.At first sight it looks like a piece of copper tubing but once I cleaned it up it has a design on it that looks like a banner with chains links and stars . Whatever it is is in rough shape for it was found in a field that has been farmed over 100 years. Never really seen any scabbard tips with designs or engravings on them so thats why I'm doubtful but hopeful LOL . Thanks for any opinions and advice . Happy treasure hunting to all !!!
