I went back to where I dug a Colt revolver a few weeks ago at a site near Shelbyville, TN and my first hole was an exploded shell. I hunted hard and found one flat button. I was about ready to give up when I decided I’d try to find the revolver’s cylinder and or barrel. I was digging only big iron with my Equinox 600 with the horseshoe icon off. I dug a lot of targets, some that would jump up to 18/25 on the Equinox 600. I got another iron signal, but this one had intermittent hits of up to 35 on the display. I dug 5 nails out of the hole and then I said to myself there’s nothing left but when I rescanned, I still got a strong iron signal. I put the pin pointer to the side of the hole and hit a target. I pulled at the dirt and a CSA was sitting on its side. I said WOW! I am very Blessed. This was my second Confederate plate in two weeks after searching for 23 years.
