Recently found these 3 items. The smallest is a button, 3/4". The medium seems like a button with the shank broken off, 1 3/8". The largest I'm not really sure about. It is really large, 1 7/8". It looks like on the back there were 2 possible shanks that broke off and then the holes were punched threw after. On the front there is a light design around the edge. They were all found within 10 feet of each other. Any help identifying and aging would be appreciated. I should also mention these were found in upstate ny and are not iron

The two smaller ones are for sure flat buttons. And probably date early to mid 1800's going by how the shanks are attached. The larger one does appear that it's a large flat button but I don't see where a shank would have been. At first I thought maybe a worn copper coin but with the design I'd say button. And as far as the large one goes, it appears that it was made into what was known as a whizzed toy. A string would have been looped through the holes and held on each end then spun around and pulled tight so as the string would unwind it would make a whizzing sound. Cool finds.
