Im pretty sure it a button but from when and for what I found it along a side walk tare out

It's similar to a King Arthur knights button but- not sure what kind yours is with out doing some research which i won't be able to til 2morrow morning, if it's not solved,i will see what i can find.. Picture of the back with shank wouldn't hurt either.. good luck!

It's copying the Roman 'trophies of war'. Looks about 50 years old max.

The steel back is another good indicator of a mid 20th C button.

Still a really cool find for me, my first button.

I never said it wasn't cool, as button's go it's got lots of eye appeal & if it your first that makes it very special because most (80%) of mine are blank.

Oh I'm not saying you don't think its cool I didn't mean to put off that way and I'm very sorry and thank you for the help and complete it is special to me being my first and in very excited about it

OK. That's what's important. FIRSTS, of any kind & whether you like it. All the rest is value ($$$) & BS which means little to me. Although I call it modern, which to me it is, its the first one I have seen posted & I've never had one identical, & it is a KEEPER!

It sure is, I by no means doing this for money I've found a few things of some value but I intend to keep them don't get me wrong the clad I get I do turn in but I tend to use that toward batteries and new equipment this is a life saving hobby for me and I love every thing about it I'm really new to it but love it
