✅ SOLVED Button or Coin?

Hello Forum,

When I found these two small round items, I was hopeful that they were coins, tokens, or play money. I'm leaning toward button from jeans now. Any thoughts? The zipper is pretty old too. Thanks for looking.

The button with the stars is from U.S. army work clothes, starting with the HBT variety shown here: HBT Field Uniform WW II

Wow!!! Thanks nhbenz. I wonder if the zipper is related to the clothing as well. These items were found in the same area. I wish I could find a clear picture of a similar one so that I can compare to be sure.

Yes, like the second picture, one of which is also shown in the link above. The Talon zipper could well be military as they used a lot of them, but so have many civilian companies, so you can't be certain.

Wow! Awesome! I wish I could restore it. It's in rough shape. I'm surprised you were able to identify it. Any ideas?

Found quite a few of them on an old WWII army air base in Western Kansas. Good Find!!
