Button ID Please

My friend and I were hunting an old fort that was set up in 1837 to protect the people in Arkansas from the Indians in Oklahoma. It was moved north after only a couple of years because several men died of malaria including Captain Stuart. It was also used during the Civil War by Stand Watie and the Cherokee Mounted Rifles.
My partner found this button his research showed it to be early 1900s but since neither of us are experts in military, I was hoping someone could identify it.

What you have is a ww1 or ww2 Coat button....exact type would be in one of the button books! Nice finds

They are right that it is a great seal button. As from which war, I have yet to have someone clearly explain to me how the buttons differed between each war. I'd guess yours is from WW2 because of the shape and commonality. Take a look at a WW2 button I found. FYI it had a nice green patina, but I traded it for clarity and legibility via electrolysis. On the back you'll find the makers mark. Mine says it is from Attleboro Falls, MA. The maker is listed as "DE Co". This is clearly D. Evans Company which made many buttons in the 20th century. Yours might have a similar back mark, but I suggest electrolysis.
