Looks like a classic blazer button... thin, die-stamped brass (typically with a steel/tin back); heraldic crest and Latin or pseudo-Latin motto; probably post-1950.

Thanks PBK. I was pretty sure it was modern.

I and many other have ones just like it. They have been found all over the country. I found mine in Dover DE. I forget what the writeing on it says.

Consensus is it's modern. I'd still like to know more about it though.
