Another great afternoon at button hill! 15 more buttons, bringing my total to 144 buttons. Best finds of the day was the draped bust large cent(1805? possibly?) and the beautiful 178? 1 reale!!! Very happy with the Spanish silver. It's been since the beginning of the year since I found me some Spanish silver and it sure did feel good to see it in the clump! Last trip out this past sunday I found an 1800 draped bust large cent and 13 buttons. Last photo is from Sunday's hunt. This brings a total of 288 buttons between my cousin and I. We both have dug 144 buttons. We are in love with this site and are completely spoiled. Thanks for looking and HH!

Was a lot of fun once again. Congrats on your copper and silver. Sure wish my copper and silver was as old. But silver is silver ;)
I'm sure we will hit 300 soon!

Man, what a site!!! Love all of your finds. Wonder why there are so many buttons there? Great post.

I am curious as well. What the heck was going on over there. Needless to say a MD'ers dream come true. Congrats on more great finds.

Good lord, what a site! Great finds, brother. Thanks for sharing. :)

the bounty of buttons! if you weren't a collector before, you are now!

good god man ,that place must be loaded.

Now this is getting ridiculous. Ha ha. Congrats on the finds and a site that I am sure makes all of us jealous. HH

I've been looking at your Button Hill threads as you posted them and it's very cool. I can't remember have you figured out what was there at one time? Or done any research? Not trying to steal your spot or anything I just think it's very interesting. The only thing better than the finds for me is the history behind them. Nice digs.

good lord

I don't even have a good response, this is just insane

It's great to land yourself on a very productive site like that. And it looks like you still have ways to go based on your most recent finds. Did you ever say that this was a house site or early camp? Oh, and congrats on the silver!

What a site! Congrats on some awesome coins! Is that a pocket watch key? HH! Hope that site last you long time, liking the button hill threads!

Man, this has to be a campsite or tavern. No way you'd pull those types of totals from a house site. Fantastic stuff, keep it coming!

Another great hunt man! Congrats on the Spanish. Nice to have something break up the monotony of all those beautiful buttons lol

What an awesome site! Hope you can find some more early coins to go with that awesome stash of buttons!

Thanks everyone. We have heard that there were several colonial homesites in the general area. Landowner doesn't know what was there.

love that silver….got lots of sites named like that too…half the fun
