I found this button at a permission that has been yielding some great stuff. The property dates back to 1600's , but most of the items I am finding are in the 1800 range.
As you can see the button says "Ives Scott Co" and the words "Super fine"
Based on a previous thread dated 2009, the time period for this button is 1834-1836. I've been trying to find an image of the front, but with no luck. Looking at the front I think there is something there, but I can't make it out - I've looked at so many buttons in the last 48 hours I might just be seeing something that isn't there.
The dime is just for size comparison, but it was also found at this property.
