Don't know anything about your "unknown" item, but just had to comment on your "Killer" condition Infantry button!!!

Great button !! just a guess on the unknown item, if its hollow, it could be the end to a walking stick or curtain rod :thumbsup:

That's a war of 1812 US infantry button...in great shape. Not sure about the other thing.

It is a lip stick case. Todd Lipe found one yesterday with the "C" looking letters all around the base.

Welcome to Tnet! I gotta say that has to be one of the best looking dug early Infantry buttons I have seen, and complete with loop! I hope to see you posting many more great relics.

Thanks everyone!!! I know you all know this, but finding old items like the above keeps ya motivated wanting to find more!! I'll post more as they are found. Good luck everyone. Next post will give some insight on where I found them and what was going on there....in 1812-1814!!!

Yup, War of 1812 Infantry button; and with a shank! Made 1813 or 1814 (1812 buttons had the regiment number in the circle).
