Burma hunt for WWII British Spitfires covered by AlJazeera

Apparently US forces buried crates of unassembled Spitfires at the end of the war. I've heard of this story before, but AJ did a nice job of summing up the facts in 2 minutes.

They are British spitfires, and wasnt it the British that supposedly buried them, not the Americans?
