Hello all I saw a post about flint from the Burlington Iowa area an I'm curious where I can find it. I live in Burlington and my son was wanting to make arrowheads me and him play a game that's set in the Stone age in. They had all the tools in there and I was explaining to him how they would be made. I had knowing that Burlington has all sorts of places called Flint hills and that I was curious where to find them. Tried searching Google in. Couldn't really get the search results. That would help. So if anyone can give me a direction to go that would be wonderful. Thank you so much

Burlington Chert outcrops in many areas. I lived outside of Crecent Missouri for a while in the late 70's close to an outcropping area. It's found knapped into relics prevent in Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana among other locations.

If you Google Burlington chert, depending on where you’re living. For instance, there are several open areas in Illinois where you can search and find Burlington chert . It is plentiful and I know some people that also have chunks of it that they do sell to others for crafts people.

This is a prismatic blade that came from Browns County, Illinois. It shows the Burlington chert color very well. Just a quick snapshot. I need to take better photos in the future.
