hi! it could be, but I searched the area and that's unlikely. finding a forgotten mine would make me happy

hi, the depth was approximately 25in deep covered by some roots, and it was pointing east

Well, if your tired of all the jokes, then maybe you could get yourself a rod, like used for bottle hunting, and try your luck with that. If the ground is rock hard, then it wont work so well, but otherwise, you might be lucky, and find a soft spot, a few feet down, deeper than your detector will detect. If its jimmy down there or another unfortunate, then your detector wouldnt find him anyway.
