Bunch Of Pics From A 1700's Site

Hey everyone, Not alot to show for this time. Grounds are frozen up for the most part around here now. I needed to get out over the weekend though and get some picks for a few of the stories I'm writing right now.

You know me though I wasn't going to leave the detector at home. I dug were I could get at for about 1 hr and a half. On the way to the site I eye balled a v-nickle on the road. Thought it was going to be a good day with a sign like that.

We have pounded this site alot so I don't expect much when going there. I just figured it would be a good place to take some picks. Picked up a few wheats there though.

I didn't get picks of everything. My son wasted alot of my film before even getting to the place. There were about 5 or 6 more cellar holes and wells all around me. I just didn't have film to get it all.

It will give you a idea of the site though. I found early large cents here and a 1787 new jersey copper. The pic of the building isn't the 1700's dwelling. That's in the back of me but you can't see it.

I think this place was used as a railroad camp also in the late 1870's. But it had early pioneer history before that. They just built onto the site later over the years.

I am pretty much now waiting for the thaw here. It got into the 40's Saturday but like I said ground is froze up in alot of the spots.

Spring will be here soon and I had a really good winter. So I'm not complaining. This just gives me more time to research and heal up a little bit.

Hope you all like the picks

HH Jer
