Bullet Bonanza

Went to a CW camp that we have hunted a lot. The ground was froze worse than yesterday so I went to a bank that has high grass and get a lot of sun. It was the only place I could dig. We suspect that they used this bank for target practice because we have found many fired bullets in a small area. Same thing happened today. I found 25 fired bullets, three in one hole (WOW). I think digging is going to be tough for a while. Cant wait till spring. Thanks for looking.

Pretty sure there was no fighting rite there. Union was camp there for a while. This spot is over a mile from the battle field. I think they where target shooting or unloading. Lot of bullets in small area. Would love to know for sure.

Probably a firing range or where they unloaded before entering camp. Not like these days where u just eject a round before going somewhere. I remember once when I took a inmate to a prison a goofball unloaded his weapon into a 50 gal drum full of sand and the round went off as he was trying to eject, talk about awkward moment for that moron
