I am thinking it may be a suspender buckle.

It will get solved I am sure. The clasp on a suspender is usually different than on a belt ....the teeth anyways.

1860's suspender buckle.I have 2 I dug that have Eureka stamped into them.At least that's what I was told.they are def more heavier than the later 1800's suspender buckles we usually dig.
