Buckle

Found this buckle today on farmland around a very small foundation. There is a house still standing on the property that was built in 1830. Can anyone give me an age on the buckle? Thanks in advance.

i am far from a expert but i say early early 1800's

It's a little older... mid to late 1700s. It is a belt or strap buckle. Here is another found in NY: http://metaldetectingworld.com/photogalary/buckels/pages/B2.htm

The bat wings are a little different Cru, but from the same era.
