I found this buckle at a 1700s foundation on my last hunt with Hogge. And was wondering if anyone had any clue as to how old it is. There is some pattern on it and is 3"X 2.5" Lots of frost in the ground here in berkshire county and it's going to be a long winter >:( But there is lot's of research to do :icon_study:
For next years season ;D

Thanks for looking and i hope you all have wonderfull Thanksgiving

Wow! That is a beautiful authentic buckle, I can't wait to see what info the experts might add. I love the details still on there after 200+ years(in my opinion)

Nice buckle, dates 1720-1790, Georgian time period. It is missing the fork. Congrats and HH, Mike

Nice find...I've found one complete shoe buckle but not as ornate.
