Buckle and/or button ID's???

I dug these two pieces at the old farm today. Any idea / info on either one would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
MM

*A small buckle with a great patina. It looks to be copper (?) with a brass or gold layer.
It measures just over 2" long, and 1.5" at the highest point. It is a thin metal, and easily bendable.
Any idea what this buckle would have been used on? Age?

*An old 1800's button (20cm). It has a flat front, and a design on the back, but no letters.
Any info or approx. age of this one? 1800's civilian button?

Thanks Crusader.
Now I can label them, and file it away with my other goodies.
Have a great weekend.
Cheers,
Doug
