Had a few quiet days without silver...

Found 2 compacts that were empty …

Then picked up a 1943 Merc. yesterday, so that was nice....

Today, I headed out by myself, I had found a Rosie 1947, when Mark (mhess) called me... I invited him to join me, where I was detecting.. Mark was just coming thru the woods when I spotted this silver half in the hole.. without touching it, I saw it was my first Seated Half dollar.. 1875 CC

Before leaving, I ended up finding a tiny ring... After cleaning and testing it, it's 10K... either a Baby ring or Toe ring

Daaaang! That’s an awesome seated half. I’m jelly

Each and Every Seated Half is a thrill, and you'll never forget where you were or how you felt. It's just amazing to see a coin like that come up. The little gold ring is a fantastic find too. Old gold is rare rare rare to dig!

What a great find Ray! I'm glad I was there for that half. I was excited the whole hunt for you! Also, pretty impressive that you called that gold ring even though we didn't know it was gold until later!

Incredible hunt. Seated Half is a great coin and nice gold ring. Congrats!!

Love the half I have to find one of them now!!

Some really nice finds Basssman.
I have a Seated Half Dime, Seated Dimes, and a Seated Half Dollar. None of them have a mint mark. The Carson City Mint Mark is a very highly sought after mint mark.
Congratulations

That half dollar does qualify as Bucket List material
