Well....it only took 28 years, but, better later than never Took a drive to meet up with Jimmy and do some permissions, I got there a little too early to do some door knocking so I messed around in the park until the locals began to stir. Jimmy had already began his curbing across the way and was finding some silver and wheats. I saw a gentleman walking up to a house I had my eye on, soooooo I walked up and began to chit chat a bit. One thing lead to another and next thing I know, he's asking the homeowner if I could metal detect his yard. The guy just happened to be the caretaker/maintenance guy, which, worked out great. The first target within 3 or 4 minutes was the merc, so, I figured my pouch would be overflowing with silver and old coins. Well, it didn't quite work out that way, but, I did find a bucket lister and a few keepers, so, I was more than happy with the permission.I'm not sure what the Benny tag is, but, the back has the date of 1956, it appears to be silver. The button, haven't researched it yet, maybe WWI or WWII perhaps. I was invited to go back Friday after he waters tomorrow, I'll use a smaller coil and go for the iffy signals then. Big silver....what a beautiful sight to behold, I almost fell over when I figured out what I had.
