Vermont
Well, Rick is out from Calif and the snow has melted. Yesterday we were digging in some frozen wet ground and today was beautiful, sunny and 70 degrees. First couple of days is scouting around although we hit an old field today for about 6 hours. Rick came up with a nifty little lock yesterday. Not too many coins in these spots. One 1897 indian and a wheatie. Today I pulled up a vermont militia button, my first. Not in great shape, but who cares. When you come from Vermont, either a vermont button or vermont copper will make your day. (we are easily pleased) I also found a neat medallion that we can not identify. I believe it dated 1918 although it could be 1910. It has a sailor and an old battleship. Any help with identification would be appreciated. Lot of other buttons and buckles. Rick found a nice watch fob with a flag on it. Only 36 stars on it. Tomorrow is a couple of old cellar holes. Thanks for looking....Lance and Rick

Really glad you two get to hunt together a couple of times a year. Good stuff.
