Yesterday October 12th 2012, my daughter Brooke and I went out on a quick hunt before her football practice. We went out to an old house that had been torn down and found a couple of things but none of them spectacular. I asked my daughter Brooke if she wanted to go back over to a friend of mines house where we had found a 1964 quarter. She was up for it so we headed over there. As we were on our way over there I told my daughter that I had got a very good tip from a friend of mine. He told me that if you go really slow and take your time while metal detecting you will pick up those good signals. Well I guess she took that tip at heart. She took my Ace 250 to a spot in his yard where she had already used her Fisher F2 before. She started going really slow while I was working on the other side of the yard with her Fisher F2. As I am working my way towards her I he her yell, DAD! Come here DAD I got one I have never seen before. As I ran over to her I could see it was a Walking Liberty half. We both ran into my friends house and quickly washed it off to see the year. Well it was a 1917 Walking Liberty Half. I think she is stuck on the Ace 250 because she would not give it back to me for the rest of the day!
