After the deepest plough we have seen on this land, now is the time for holidays.
I put in an 8 hour grid & Cru'Dad did his longest hunt since the injury of 4 hours. Even though I did 7 hours yesterday, I felt like I could do a 10 hour day, but Cru'Dad needs to catch up with all the recording...:laughing7:

Nice job on saving some history out of the ground like that. Great finds!

Now your really cooking, 3 silvers and so many bronzes is a smashing day of digging. Congrats!!
It's amazing on how much energy one can have when the finds are coming out of the ground. I know I'd be just stocked for many 10 hr days digging those great recoveries.

Wow looks like you spent more time recovering finds than you did swinging. Those coins are magnificent.

You should write a book about your finds.

Wow Cru, you guys are on fire lately!

Wow, unbelievable. It's so funny that the history here is relatively new and we and almost recite all of it but the history there is unreal. What is the most number of coins you have dug in one day?
(Not counting modern coins-clad)
Dad & I have a record of 98 Roman Bronze Coins in 1 day. It was on the 'Field of 500'. That field will not be repeated easily as we now have about 1400 coins which is about 3-4 times more than most.

That is part of my secret, you shouldn't spend more than 30 seconds from beep to pouch. That's how you dig up more trash & cover more area. More area=more finds.

You must do some great research on your sites, and getting the permissions to detect there....congrats on both..it's awesome!!

Awesome finds! Do you have a YouTube channel?

Man what I would give for a week of hunting like you do, great job once again.

Yes, we researched our sites in the locality, gained permission, but this one I spotted on Google Earth, as a less than oblivious black splodge, no crop-marks. I sent out Land-Mag to field walk it & he rang me up very excited saying he couldn't fill his pockets any-more with all the Roman Pot Shards he had in his pockets. Game on...

Nope I don't have time to waste on stuff like that, it would ruin my find rate, plus I hate still pictures of me, let alone moving ones. I have no desire to be famous.

Last of the coins added to top post.
