After the deepest plough we have seen on this land, now is the time for holidays.
I put in an 8 hour grid & Cru'Dad did his longest hunt since the injury of 4 hours. Even though I did 7 hours yesterday, I felt like I could do a 10 hour day, but Cru'Dad needs to catch up with all the recording...
Today was a good mix of 'firsts'
55 Roman Bronze Coins - Smashed this years best 1 day total.
2 Roman Hob-Nails
WWI Royal Corp of Signals Cap Badge (Complete!)
Roman Lead Steelyard Weights
Bits of Roman Bracelet
1st C AD Fibula
1st C AD Rosette Brooch with Pin - First complete example
Another one of those Roman Leather Mounts (Cross shaped), still as yet unknown on a full ID - Never seen 1, now I have 2!
2nd C AD Roman Military Horse Harness Mount - Crescent Moon (Lunar) - A First
Roman Steel-yard Weight Balance Arm - Another rare first.
A Iron Age (Celtic) Mount? Complete but no fixings - Never seen one.
3 Roman Silver;
Best one is a new Emperor for us & is RARE - Siliqua of Flavius Victor, Son of Magnus Maximus, Augustus & Co-Emperor AD387-388 - Book price of $600 in VF, $1500 in EF.
