Hello , I have a button that was found by a friend many years ago on central east coast of Florida. In the same small area he found local Indian pottery shards along with Spanish coins dating up to 1520s. I have been searching the net to no avail , what I have found that are similar are much older than the 1500s. The coins and pottery are long gone but the button still has a story to tell if I can figure it out. Could it of been a stash some Indian or conquistador buried in a pottery jar and never got back to get it ? Thanks in advance , Jim

I was going to say Spanish Colonial, but gwdigger beat me to the punch.

I think that's a good ID.

Thank you both ! That does fit into the local history time line where it was found and the items found with it. I missed the Ebay items , I did a search but failed. Thanks again , Jim
