bronze cat

hi just asking if anybody could give me any information about this cat as i was given it by an american lady so was wondering if it was made in the u.s.a its bronze and is pretty heavy and about 16 inches long or 40 cms

Not so sure its a Cat, looks more like an African Jackal.

Looks to be Egyptian to me.
Probably made in the 1970's . . . funny how there's no foundry mark though?

Noble, if it was me, I'd take it to a museum and have it looked at....the British Museum would be a good start, they have one of the finest Egyptian collections available outside of Cairo... the reason I say that is that it looks older than something that was just poured for the tourist trade....
