These "Austrian" bronze bulldogs, as well as other dogs, cats, pigs, bears, rabbits, people, birds, etc are still made today and all have the same fake patination.

Some are animals playing musical instruments (these sell for more than the average, even though they're new). Over the past 30 years I've seen hundreds being sold at auctions and in antique stores. One guy used to buy them wholesale and put a few in each auction, every month, and he's just one of many. Every once in a while one will sell for far more than they normally do, and those are always to new buyers who're unaware that they're still being made today and they all look old.
