Finished the house Friday for the most part, still have some small stuff to take care of. What a relief however, my vacation is over as well. Get some pictures later. The last two hunts were both short but I managed a few nice old finds and relics. A military button with an “8” on the obverse. I need to get a German button book if they print one.

Obverse of a fair condition copper 1 Pfennig coin from 1766. Gave the field owner’s 6 year old son a 1840ish copper and a musket ball I had just found. Got the 1766 in return.

Reverse of the 1766. Looks better overall than the picture does.

An awesome little coin weight with an orb, measures 13mm. Orbs were typically used on coins around the 1530s to early 1600s and into the 1700s. They seem to have been used on coins at different periods.

Broke into Medieval times with this buckle dating from 1350-1450. HH, Mike

Thanks all! I probably could open a small museum. I wanted to go to our local museum and ask if they want any of my finds for display, the town turns 1000 years old in 2008. One of many things I did not get to do on vacation. Diggerfororo, thanks for posting the coin, very nice! Hey Viking, if you have a picture of that bomb, post it, would be interesting to see, good luck with the new coil. HH, Mike

As usual, great finds_ Mike, I like that buckle, still to fnd one so old.

Some info for your coin weight. I just checked my set of coin weights, made by Paul Deinert in ~1770 and found this weght there - it is weight for 1 loydor. Paul Deinert worked in Nürnberg.

Looks quite similar to yours, isn't it? :)

Nice finds Mike. I only got some buttons and loads of Bundeswehr and USAF ground forces shell casings (Again). But my mate managed a hammered and a 1951 Silver Five Mark piece (110(387) Kleiner Deutscher Münzkatalog)
Still, better than a kick in the butt.
Hear from you,
HH Ray
