Had a cool day, got out and came back with a couple more fragments of pottery, been on a pottery run lately. I also got a base of what would have been a beautifully made point, hoping I may have the tip somewhere.

I also found a couple of large fragments of stone, I wasn’t sure were even flakes after cleaning them off I was happy to find I had a nice flake knife, and the matching half… not sure if they were going for more and it broke or if they just wanted a cutter

Any chance they were going for this? … but then why go straight to pressure flaking… maybe overthinking it but a lot of times the oddball things turn out to be the best clues as to the people in the area. It would be a technique I’m not familiar with. The left hand piece I may not have even considered an artifact if it didn’t fit with the other half
