Found a new place, that was probably used before for training in the 1850 -1880 period (age of those buttons). Wasn't expecting that stuff in this new park ( 20 years) After the normal clad found an old penny 1880, and my first button, the 53regiment on foot ( Shropshire ). I went there 3 times, the buttons show up each time, but at the end was getting very quiet. The regiment are mostly 53,one 87 Highlanders, 25, 29,69, two unknown so far.. The 29 regiment is the one involve in Boston in front of the state house in 1770.
Two larges cents Victoria,1880 1882. A mourning brooch possibly with falcon eyes stone and Rhine stone. Some buckles. Thank,s to look at ! PA310592.jpgPB010601.jpgPA300594 3.jpg220px-53rd_Foot_uniform.jpgPA110579.jpgPA260594 2.jpgPB010604.jpgPA290594.jpgPA270591 2.jpg

Excellent finds! Would the 29th button be considered revolutionary war period, or it's the same regiment that was there but later in history? Not sure if you've been to the Boston Common but the remains of the British trenches / camp could be seen up to the mid 1800's supposedly.

nice finds
