Hi all,
Been up all night trying to ID this button, Can any button buffs shed light or hint at potential leads?

John Weston, Old Bond St. tailor, was judged bankrupt in 1831 if that's any help?

Was deep in anaerobic ooze which has given up some late 1800's coins at about the same depth.

Thanks

Neat find!

It may be related to this set - I know it is of a bit different design (and maker) - but it may be a variant.

As an aside...It is interesting b/c I recently researched another button posted here at Tnet that I thought perhaps was George Prince Regent related and came across this auction listing at that time too.

Lot 876, Orders, Decorations and Medals (25 September 2008) | Dix Noonan Webb

George, Prince Regent, a very rare packet containing 23 small gilt buttons with outer attached small and large examples of the same. The crown over ‘GPR’ on lined ground within a circle of raised bezants, all with maker’s mark of ‘Charles Jennens London’ (plus the Prince of Wales’s crest), excellent condition (25) £130-160

Thanks very much.
