My first decent find with my new Equinox 600. Hunting a local 130+ year old park, I found this British Half Penny. It rang in at a solid 23. It's pretty toasted, with most of the detail eaten away, but I'll take it. With the hole, it must have been worn as a pendant so I'm not sure when it was lost, but probably not in recent times. It took some gentle cleaning and side lighting to make out the detail. If it wasn't for a seated Britannia on the reverse, I might not have recognized it. Apparently this version was issued from 1838 - 1860. Also, I may have dinged it. Doh!

This is what it is supposed to look like.
