I found these two coins and small decorative piece today on the Brandywine battlefield. The small piece is clamshell shaped and has either the number 10 (cut in half) or a letter S. I rang really high on the AT Pro. The coin looks similar to a British Copper Half-Penny around 1690-1700, but I can find an exact match online. On the side with the seated figure, I can see the TAN for BRITAN. The NIA is weird though. You can clearly see the N in between the hand and head of the seated figure (left of the head). The IA is on the other side of the head to the right of the staff. I can't find any online examples where the NIA is split up like that. On the opposite side, I believe I can make our GV or CV to the left of the head and what looks to be TIV on the right. Hoping someone a lot more knowledgeable about coins will know what this is. I know the small coin is a shield nickel.
