Brewerton Side Notch?

Was playing a round of disc golf yesterday, and on a hillside overlooking a marshy area, found this guy just laying there. Picked it up and said to my buddies "wow I think this is called a Brewerton Notch!" Googled it and sure enough, there was a pretty good match. What do you guys think? The last image in the gallery shows the broken tip. Do you think the damage was done while working it or using it?

One of the guys scoffed at the notion that it could be 2000 years old or more. Tried to inform him of about the archaic population that used to live in the area, but he wasn't having any of it. He's a known science denier - sigh, what you gonna do?

Looks like a Brewerton Side Notched to me. Yeah, what are you going to do. Lots of people reject every single source of authority these days. Anyway, that's in the 4000-5000 year old range. If that's dirt on it, it looks like quartz, you can scrub that off with water and a toothbrush. It will do no harm to it whatsoever, and it will look better. And yes, it could have broke anciently through usage...

Love those white quartz points, good find!

I would say it was broke during use,,, end looks ancient as well. Love Disc Golf and would love it even more if we could find an occasional arrowhead!
