I just got permission with my buddy to go and MD this whole UNTOUCHED, undeveloped battle site. i am stoked!
Just wish i had a Garret at pro instead of my Big5 bounty hunter. lol!

Mebbe someone will buy my Heep, um i mean Jeep cherokee project and i can buy the Garret before this weekend.

I cant believe i get the chance to go dig up Washington State history!

For those of you that may not be able to open the link provided. A little history on the topic.

Brennan's Prairie (December 4, 1855) - On this date Lieutenant William A. Slaughter and his troops of about 40 soldiers were encamped on Brennan's Prairie, just east of present-day Auburn, Washington. Slaughter and his men had joined forces with Major Granville Haller's troops at the Battle of Top*****h Creek on October 6-8, 1855, as well as the skirmish at the Payallup River in early November.

On November 3rd, Lieutenant Slaughter and his men attacked a group of Nisqually and claimed thirty Indians were killed. Later that month, on November 24th, he lost about forty horses in an Indian night raid. On December 3rd, he was joined by Captain Gilmore Hays and a detachment of Washington Militia. The joint force set up camp where the Green and White Rivers flow about a mile apart on December 4th. That night, the troops were surprised by a group of warriors from the Puyallup, Nisqually, and Klickitat tribes, led by Klickitat Chief Kanaskat. Firing upon the sleeping troops, Lieutenant Slaughter and three other soldiers were killed before the warriors withdrew into the darkness.

WOW. I am jealous. Especially since this is in my backyard. I hope you find tons of cool stuff. Keep us posted on your finds!

As a fellow Washingtonian I have to say I am jealous too. I'm looking forward to reading about what you find. I wish you great luck in your hunt!

I just hope my Heep, um i mean Jeep sells. so i can go to my neighbors store and buy the AT Pro at dealer cost before saturday night. I need a better MD than my Bounty Hunter Outback..I want the small items too lol!

I hope the bounty hunter outback goes deeper than all the mulch or overburden that has been added since 1855. That's my big concern.

Frustrating, i would really like to have a better wuality MD for this place but Jeep isnt selling so off tomorrow with my Big5 Bounty hunter outback and hope to find something worth alot and sell it to buy a better MD.
Hopefully the goods are still in the ground waiting for me lol!

Good luck, if I had a AT Pro and was near WA I would let you borrow it, :icon_thumleft:

I was wondering if you'd already gone yet. Looking forward to follow up!

it was a soggy bust, rain killed both our metal detectors. mine wont even turn on now.
all i found was a cast iron pully or harmonic balancer with a rainier brand in the casting. from a farm impliment or tractor of some sort.

SUPER BUMMER.

RAIN? We didn't get a drop till 6:00. Was honked off because I wait around all day for no show son when I could have went to the crick to play!!
