Found this today at the old mid 1800s army fort and mid 19th century farm I never dug anything like this up before

hows about a end photo? might be 1/2 of a bearing for an axle to hold grease

Probably half of a split bushing from a bearing pillow block.

Yep, half of a 2- piece bush, maybe from a hit-n-miss engine. In the third photo I can see remnants of babbitting still in place.
