I dug what seems to be an old old brass Harley Davidson Shield plate. I have owned several Harley's in the past and have not seen anything like this. It is not a Tank Logo and I can't seem to find any info on this piece. I have searched on google but I keep getting brass belt buckles. Probably not worth a whole lot but would still like to ID it. I know there are some Harley Davidson riders on here so any help would be appreciated.

Maybe it's rare and a part that Mike Wolfe from American Pickers needs to round out his collection. I can see it now, I'll be on tv and they will pay a super inflated price "for tv ratings of course". :0

Hope your right. My wife is actually looking over my shoulder now and she could care less about metal detecting but if $$$$ signs are mentioned she gets interested. lol

All we need is the manufacturers mark to confirm. Im pretty sure is genuine. The tab appears broken but it should still have value.

Thats funny cypress because I found that one and one other but there nothing like the one I dug. Well maybe I can make some calls tomorrow at the local Harley shop and see if they might know something.

Mr T got it. Its definitely without any doubt a match to the bicycle logo IMO, even the Schwaab mark is from the same dateline and the broken top appears to be a fob. But I cant find a match.
Nice finds. Good to see your wife interested.
